Why Goldendoodles?

We initially chose goldendoodles because I knew I wanted a doodle (Warren just wanted a dog, there were a few breeds he didn't want, but was open to doodles). My friend asked us to dog-sit her goldendoodle for the day and he was so great with our kids and so chill that I was immediately sold on the breed. I did some research to make sure I wanted a goldendoodle and not a labradoodle. Goldendoodles are said to be a little calmer than labradoodles, which I was I chose them. We love goldendoodles (and double doodles) for several reasons: they're great with kids (so gentle and patient), smart (very trainable), and don't shed (we love not having hair everywhere in the house).

Why Goldendoodles?

About The Goldendoodle

A Goldendoodle is a crossbreed between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. Known for their friendly and intelligent nature, Goldendoodles combine the best traits of both parent breeds. They are often favored for their hypoallergenic coats, making them a popular choice for families with allergies.

what is a goldendoodle?

What are double doodles?

Double Doodles are Goldendoodles bred from both Goldendoodle parents. This breeding approach aims to enhance and stabilize the desirable traits of the Goldendoodle line.

Meet Our Family!

There are 4 people in our loving family. Hillarie - Me  (51), Warren (58), and our two beautiful kids, Griffin (14) and Kennedy (13).

As a family we love to

hike together (and take the dogs too)

go to the beach (the kids love the water and I love watching the waves and Warren likes walking on the beach)

raise puppies (the kids help with picking names and daily puppy chores/daily handling exercises)

go out to eat breakfast (any time of day...)

go to church + volunteer!

I am a full time first grade teacher and have been for 29 years now. I have my masters degree in administration and currently love hosting student teachers (similar to interns) in my classroom every year to teach them what I know and help them start their careers.

 breeder education

Education is incredibly important to me, and I'm always eager to learn from the top experts in the breeding field.

I bring years of hands-on experience in whelping and raising puppies, complemented by valuable insights from Puppy Culture courses developed by Jane Messineo Lindquist, a notable figure in dog training, breeding, and AKC judging.

Additionally, I've taken courses offered by the Empowered Breeder program led by Jeanette Forey, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, IACP Member and author of "The Ultimate Badass Breeder's Guide", Founder of the B.A.B (Badass Breeder) Puppy Evaluation and B.A.B. Advanced Service Dog Curriculum. I continue my journey of breeder education through the AKC and the GoodDog Learning Center to ensure I stay current with best breeding practices.

Hey friend!

 breeder education

wife, mom, teacher, responsible dog breeder

You deserve a breeder who supports you every step of the way.

Thinking of it this way: choosing a dog breeder is sort of like choosing a doctor. Making the wrong choice could lead you down a road of ongoing headaches and frustration. When looking for the right doctor you want someone who knows their stuff, sets you up for success and is there to get you back on track when you stumble. Its the same with dog breeders! Responsible breeders stand by their puppies (and their families) throughout their ENTIRE lifetime, so choosing a breeder that will support you through the ups and downs of puppyhood is crucial.

I empower you by providing comprehensive education & support, so you can feel confident & well-prepared to welcome a new puppy into your home.

home improvement projects!

Warren is a full time home builder/renovator who is currently finishing one project and getting ready to start an addition on our house. He can fix literally anything...electrical, plumbing, framing a house, sheetrock, painting....all of it. There's always a project in the works at our house. He has a business degree from San Jose State and enjoys being his own boss. He's the one who does all of the day-to-day puppy care during the school year. He cleans the puppy area, feeds mom and puppies, and does enrichment activities with the puppies.
